South Central Railways Jobs in 2025 | Educational Qualification
I passed 10th class or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with 50% marks from a recognized board, and I also possess an ITI certificate in a trade notified by institutes recognized by NCVT or SCVT. This notification does not allow engineering graduates and diploma holders to apply for apprenticeships because a separate apprenticeship scheme governs them.
Mode of Selection
The selection committee will prepare the merit list by averaging the percentage marks candidates obtained in both their 10th-class/matriculation and ITI examinations, giving equal weight to each.

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on the cut-off date for receiving online application i.e., 28.12.2024.

There will be No Written Test and Viva
Training and Stipend
The Central Apprenticeship will arrange training in accordance with the standards and syllabus they have prescribed, at the prescribed rates as per extant instructions.
Payment of Fees
Once the candidate completes the online application in all respects on https://scr.indianrailways.gov.in, including filling out the required details and uploading the necessary documents, the system will direct the candidate to pay the application fees.
Mode of Payment
The system will direct the candidate to the user details page. There, the candidate must enter the registered email ID, phone number, and application number before making a payment. Candidates can pay application fees online using any of the following methods:
- Net Banking of SBI and Internet Banking of other Banks.
2. SBI ATM-cum Debit Card and other Banks Debit Cards.
3. Credit Cards.
4. SBI UPI.
No fees required to be paid by SC/ST candidates/Female candidates of all Communities and PwBD candidates.
Documents to be Uploaded
- SSC/10th Class or its equivalent marks sheet.
- Proof of Date of Birth.
- Consolidated Marks Sheet of all Semesters of the ITI trade in which applied/Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
- National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT.
- RDAT registration form mentioning registration number.
- Community Certificate for SC/ST (as per annexure-A) and OBC (as per Annexure-B & C) wherever applicable should be uploaded.
- Disability Certificate in case of PwBD candidates to be uploaded.
- EWS Certificate as per Annexure-F, if applicable.
- Discharge Certificate/Serving certificate in case of candidates applied against Ex-Servicemen quota.
